Terms governing use of the WFN website, Member Hubs and member resources

1. About these terms

These Terms of Use apply when you access or use the Women in Fenestration Network website, a WFN Member Hub, downloadable resources, online forms or other digital services operated by Women in Fenestration Network Ltd ("WFN", "we", "us" or "our").

Legal details: Upper House, Llanellen, Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, NP79HT | Company number: 17290003 | Contact: sioned.yates@accessmarketing.uk

By using these services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. Separate membership, event, mentoring, sponsorship or payment terms may also apply.

2. Access and availability

·        You may use the public website for lawful personal or business purposes connected with learning about or engaging with WFN.

·        Member-only resources are for current members and authorised users.

·        We may change, suspend, restrict or withdraw any part of the website or Member Hub where reasonably necessary.

·        We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, although we will take reasonable steps to maintain services.

3. Member Hub links

A Member Hub link may provide access to personalised or member-only resources. You must keep the link reasonably secure, must not publish it openly and must tell us if you believe it has been misused. You are responsible for ensuring the email account receiving the link is secure.

The Member Hub is not designed for storing sensitive, confidential, health, banking or payment information. Do not upload such information unless WFN has specifically asked you to use a secure method.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

·        Use the services unlawfully, fraudulently or in a way that harms WFN, its members, partners or others.

·        Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts, data, folders or resources.

·        Introduce malware, malicious code or harmful material.

·        Scrape, harvest or compile personal information about members without a lawful basis and WFN’s permission.

·        Use WFN resources to harass, discriminate against, defame or mislead others.

·        Resell, sublicense, copy in bulk or commercially exploit member resources without written permission.

·        Impersonate WFN, a member or another person, or suggest endorsement that has not been given.

5. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, WFN or its licensors own the copyright, trade marks and other intellectual property in the website, branding, templates, event materials, recordings, reports and Member Hub resources.

Current members may download and use member resources for their own professional use. WFN member badges may be used to identify genuine current membership, subject to any brand guidance provided. You must stop using membership badges if membership ends or is suspended.

You may not materially alter, sell, redistribute or present WFN materials as your own without written permission. Speaker, trainer, partner or third-party materials may have additional restrictions.

6. Content you provide

You remain responsible for content you submit to WFN, including application information, photographs, comments, feedback, event contributions and mentoring information. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful and not infringing.

Where you provide testimonials, photographs, recordings or other content for publication, WFN will use it in line with the permission given and applicable privacy law.

7. Information, events and third-party links

Website and resource content is provided for general information and professional development. It is not legal, financial, employment, tax, medical or other regulated professional advice. You should obtain appropriate advice for your circumstances.

Our services may link to third-party websites, payment services, event platforms or partner content. WFN does not control those services and is not responsible for their availability, security or terms. You should review their policies before use.

8. Payments and membership

Membership fees, joining fees, event charges and payment schedules are shown when you apply, book or receive an invoice. Monthly payments may be collected by GoCardless. Annual and other charges may be invoiced through QuickBooks or another stated method.

These Terms of Use do not replace any separate membership terms, cancellation rules, event terms or written agreement. If there is a conflict, the more specific terms will apply to that service.

9. Security and privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You must not upload other people’s personal information unless you have a lawful reason and authority to do so. Please notify us promptly of suspected security incidents involving WFN services.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the extent permitted by law, WFN is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of data or loss arising from reliance on general information or third-party services. WFN’s total liability relating to paid digital services will not exceed the amount paid to WFN for the relevant service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless the law requires otherwise.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove access where a user breaches these terms, misuses resources, creates a security risk, fails to pay applicable fees or where access must end with membership. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in our services, technology, suppliers or legal obligations. The latest version will be published on our website. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply from their effective date.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you as a consumer.
